A 2006 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, he grew up in Kansas City and attended Blue Springs South High School, home of the Jaguars (ROAR!). His greatest moment on the job came in July of 2009, when he witnessed Jayhawks quarterback Todd Reesing go unselected during a dodgeball draft at Langston Hughes Elementary.
