I'm not really sure what the appeal is of Texas, but you have to give Rick Barnes a lot of credit for bringing in Top Talent. Out of all the players in this upcoming 2010 class, I really want KU to land Corey Joseph, but I don't think it's going to happen according to this article. UT very well could see all three of those Canada Grassroot players coming to Austin. That would be crazy, but at the same time that helps Kansas. You might ask yourself, huh? The talent Rick Barnes brings into Texas is a direct benefit for Kansas and Bill Self. Self can use that as a recruiting tool to get the best talent and say, "Here is what you're going to playing against here at Kansas and in the Big 12". As much as I don't like UT, you have to give Barnes and UT a lot of credit. I wish we could have a home and home in basketball with UT, but I guess that will have to wait. I can only hope Missouri keeps improving so we can restore the rivalry where it once was in the late 80's to early 90's.
